Your privacy in Topple
Updated 5 October 2026. Topple has no accounts. It never asks for your name, email, contacts or location.
What Topple stores
On your phone, in your browser: your game (level, finished pictures, gold frames, lessons seen, sound setting).
On our server (Cloudflare), tied to a random ID in a cookie called pid, which is not your name or device:
- a copy of your game, so your pictures survive a cleared browser and can move to another one;
- your save code, if you open Settings or Keep my progress;
- what happens in the game: pictures started, finished or not finished, lessons, ads shown and shares, with the time, your time zone, the game version and whether you play inside an app such as Instagram;
- how you first arrived: the tags in the link you followed (such as an ad's campaign tags or Meta's and TikTok's click IDs) or a friend's share link.
Your IP address is used to stop people guessing save codes or flooding the server. It is kept only inside a keyed one-way hash, for at most a day.
Why
To keep your progress, to see which pictures are too hard or too easy, and to learn which ads bring people who enjoy the game.
Do Not Sell or Share
We never sell your information. When Topple runs ads on Meta, it can tell Meta that someone who tapped one of our ads finished level 1, using Meta's click ID, a scrambled form of your random ID, your IP address and browser type, so the ads reach people who like puzzles. California law can count that as sharing.
Opt out and Topple tells Meta nothing about you. No other company gets anything from Topple: even the font is served from Topple itself. Your choice is kept in a cookie called oo that holds no ID. Browsers with Global Privacy Control are opted out automatically.
Delete your data
This removes your game from this browser and everything our server holds for your ID: the save, your save code and your game events. Your progress starts again from level 1. If you opted out, you stay opted out.
How long
We keep it while Topple is being tested and built, or until you delete it here.
Children
Topple is not made for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
